At the height of his fame, Hollywood star Ike Irving abruptly abandoned his radio show, his home, and his loved ones. For five years, the English gentleman avoided the world, leaving the press and his friends with no answers for his disappearance. It’s only in 1946, after the war has ended, that Ike returns to Hollywood. He plans to revive his radio program and recklessly hopes to reunite with the man he loves, his former radio partner.

Sidney Lewis is an American actor best known for his villainous gangster roles. What Hollywood doesn’t know is that Sidney used to be a heavy in a previous life. He’s the only person who knows why Ike Irving disappeared, and he’s determined to keep Ike’s secret safe at any cost—even if it means keeping their relationship strictly professional and leaving the romance in the past.

While Ike and Sidney work together to go back on the air and bring laughter to American audiences, their past keeps pursuing them. A gossip columnist with a grudge is particularly relentless in his quest to take down Ike Irving. When the press’s claws reach for the other cast members on the radio show, it becomes clear Ike and Sidney will have to face their past and deal with their new problems together.
